Venue: At your own premises or at selected venues around the UK

This course will discuss the theory of Schedule One requirements and includes an interactive session using examples and scenarios. It will ensure staff are fully aware of their legal requirements and responsibilities towards animal welfare. Although no animals are used in this course, the use of video, training aids and discussion, will ensure the objectives are met.

  • Brief introduction to anatomy and how various methods of euthanasia affect the major body systems
  • In depth understanding of equipment with practical competency test
  • Humane methods of animal euthanasia – chemical and physical
  • Ability to confirm death
